Research Programmer position at Personalogy, Inc.

Personalogy, Inc. was founded to commercialize research done in Prof.
Alspector's group at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. The
company develops and applies state-of-the-art machine learning
techniques to personalize information on the Internet. We are currently
looking for a research programmer with the following credentials:

-Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, EE or related field
-background in machine learning/neural networks/intelligent data mining
-strong interests in information filtering/retrieval and user modeling
-1-4 years in research and professional programming experience
-strong programming skills in Perl/C/C++
-familiarity with web-server technology and Internet protocols
-good knowledge HTML/CGI/WML
-comfortable with Windows NT/2K and Unix/Solaris/Linux platforms
-very good communication and problem solving skills

The person will be responsible for enhancing and optimizing the core
algorithms of the company as well as researching novel ways of
personalizing web-based content presentation. The person will also be
involved in the overall system design.
