Announcement - Postdoctoral Position

THEORETICAL/COMPUTATIONAL POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP IN NEUROSCIENCE:

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research position
available immediately jointly between the laboratories of P. Mitra at
Bell Laboratories (Murray Hill, New Jersey) and Prof. R. Andersen at
Caltech (Pasadena, California).  The research projects will involve
building a real time system to transform measured in vivo neural
signals into high level control signals for driving prosthetic limbs
and the associated data analysis and algorithmic development.  The
successful applicant should have a Ph.D. in physics, mathematics,
electrical engineering, applied mathematics, or equivalent theoretical
sciences background.  Programming or electronics experience preferred.
The geographical location (Caltech/Bell Labs) is flexible and will
depend on the candidate's expertise.
