PHZ Capital Partners LP is a Boston area trading firm that manages
client money using proprietary quantitative algorithms. Our models of
the global financial markets are based on a cross-disciplinary blend
of financial market theory, novel statistics, and advanced computing
technology. PHZ's unique approach and strong trading performance to
date have led to exceptional client interest and rapid asset growth.

To further expand our business, PHZ is now looking for one or more
talented, hard working people to join our research and trading
team to work on our next generation of trading systems. Depending on
candidate interests and skills, these positions will involve
exploratory market and data analysis, development of cutting edge
modeling, trading, and risk management algorithms and models, and
execution of these strategies through live trading.

The successful applicant for these positions will have a demonstrated
knack for solving real world analytical problems. We are looking for
candidates with a Ph.D. in computer science, statistics, finance, or a
related field, or someone with 3-5 years of work experience in an
applied research setting. Strong software engineering skills are
required (esp. on PCs and Unix). Experience working with large real
world numerical data sets and statistical modeling tools (e.g. Splus
or SAS) is highly desirable. Applicants should have a keen interest in
learning more about the world financial markets, although finance
industry experience is not required.

The growth potential of these positions is large, both in terms of
responsibilities and compensation. Initial compensation will be
competitive based on qualifications and will include a significant
variable component linked to firm trading performance.

PHZ was founded in 1993 and is partially owned by Goldman Sachs. Our
