This annual meeting rotates between institutions in Southern
Califorina and this year will be hosted by the University of
Southern California.
The keynote address this year will be given by:
Prof. Gerald M. Loeb
Biomedical Engineering Department, and
Fellow of the USC Alfred Mann Institute
"Dialogs with the Nervous System"
Submissions will be open to all members of the Neural
Computation community of Southern California. Research areas
include all aspects of cellular, network, and systems-level
modeling, and applications of neuromorphic algorithms and
hardware to problems in vision, speech motor control, cognitive
function, etc. Authors are invited to contribute abstracts,
which will be reviewed by the program committee (see above).
The contributed program will consist of 15-minute oral
presentations, as well as a poster session. Abstracts selected
for either oral or poster presentation will be included in the

by the INC. Contributions to the Proceedings, based on both
oral and poster presentations, are due after the meeting, and
must be submitted no later than Friday, June 2, 2000 to:
Institute for Neural Computation, University of California, San
Diego, 9500 Gilman Drive DEPT 0523, La Jolla, CA
