Applications are now invited for an MPhil studentship in 
the area of "Financial Forecasting using Neural Networks". 
The project will develop student skills in areas including 
neural networks, financial forecasting, and pattern 
recognition. The studentship is in collaboration with Siebe 
Appliance Controls Ltd at Plymouth.

Candidates for this studentship should have a degree in 
computer science, engineering or a related subject. They 
should have programming skills in C/C++/JAVA and knowledge 
of Unix operating system. The studentships cover UK/EEC 
fees and maintenance over two years. The successful 
candidates should expect to take up the studentships no 
later than 1 November, 1999.
