The University of Southwestern Louisiana's Institute for Cognitive
Science invites applications for a tenure-track faculty appointment at
the assistant professor level for a new Ph.D. program.  Appointment is
anticipated for the Fall of 1999.  Applicants must have an earned
doctorate in cognitive science or a closely related area, as well as
demonstrated potential for research excellence.  Focus areas of the new
program are in cognitive processes, comparative cognition, computational
models of mind, cognitive neuroscience, and language and thought.
Salary is competitive, depending on experience and qualifications.
