VISITING POSITION IN HUMAN PERCEPTION/COGNITION, BROWN UNIVERSITY.  The
Department of Cognitive and Linguistic Sciences at Brown University invites
applications for a three-year visiting assistant professor position, to
begin July 1, 1999 (non-tenure-track).  Candidates should have an active
research program in the area of perception, action, visual cognition,
and/or attention, and would be expected to teach three courses per year. 
All applicants must have received the Ph.D. degree or equivalent by the
beginning of the appointment. The initial deadline for applications is
March 15, 1999, but applications will be accepted after that time until the
position is filled.  Please send CV, recent publications, a cover letter
describing teaching and research interests, and three letters of reference
