Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Computational Intelligence in Finance and Business
Applications are invited for the above position.
Candidates must have either:
i) a PhD degree in the area of computational intelligence (neural computing
or evolutionary computing) and an interest in, together with some experience
of, the application of these computing technologies in finance, investment
and business, or
ii) a higher degree in a financial/business discipline and at least five
years'experience of applying computational intelligence techniques in the
financial/business sector.
A record of research publication in this field is highly desirable.
The person appointed will be expected:
i) to lead the development of teaching and research in this field, working
within the School's Centre for Neural and Adaptive Systems, and
ii) to take a leading role in the design and promotion of a new MSc
programme in Computational Intelligence in Finance and Business, which the
School is planning to start within the next two years.
