BACKGROUND:
TAINN^Ò99 is the eighth in a series of symposia intended to bring together
researchers from the fields of artificial intelligence and neural networks.
The symposium will be held in the historical city of Istanbul, which has been
the capital of two empires, and is the economic and cultural center of modern
Turkey.
SCOPE:
AI Architectures, Artificial Life, Automated Modeling, Automated Reasoning,
Bayesian Learning and Belief Networks, Control, Causality, Cognitive
Modeling, Common Sense Reasoning, Computer-Aided Education, Decision Trees,

Reasoning, Hardware Realizations of Neural Networks and Fuzzy Systems,

PAPER SUBMISSION:
Original papers from all areas listed above are solicited. The symposium
languages are Turkish and English. All submitted papers will be refereed on
the basis of quality, significance, and clarity by program committee members
and other reviewers. All accepted papers will be published in the symposium
proceedings which will be available at the meeting. The symposium will
consist of technical presentations, invited talk(s) and poster sessions.
Prospective authors are invited to submit full papers exclusively in
electronic media in the format of postscript files attached to e-mail
messages. Papers are limited to 10 pages, including figures and references,
in single-spaced one-column format using a font size of 11 points.
