The University of Guelph (Ontario, Canada) is now accepting applications
from students with an interest in artificial neural and connectionist
networks for its M.Sc. program in Computing and Information Science.

The department has one of the largest neural network research groups in
Canada and offers graduate courses in Artificial Neural Networks, Genetic
Algorithms, Autonomous Robotics, as well as traditional Artificial
Intelligence and other topics in Computer Science.

Joint research projects with industry and collaboration with other neural
network groups in the area enhance the learning environment.

To be considered for admission, applicants must have a minimum 73% (`B')
average during the previous four semesters of university study (though
actual cut-offs are usually much higher) and are expected to possess a
four-year honours degree in computer science. Students who are externally
funded are especially encouraged to apply, though local funding may also
be available for outstanding applicants.

Most available spaces will be filled in May for entry in September. To
assist in identifying a suitable thesis advisor, applicants are requested
to submit descriptions of their research interests.
