as a research area with active involvement by researchers
from a number of different disciplines, including cognitive
science, computer science, engineering, mathematics,
neurobiology, physics, and statistics. The theme for the
International Conference on Neural Network and Brain (NN&B'98)
is to provide a chance for interdisciplinary collaboration and
exchange of ideas which will lead us to address research issue
in this area from different perspectives, and to promote its
application to industries. This conference is intended to bring
together researchers from different disciplines to review the
current status of neural networks and understand higher brain
functions. Submissions of papers related, but not limited, to
the topics listed below are invited.
