Applications are invited for a post-doctoral
research assistants to work on a programme of research concerned with
investigating the nature and causes of language disorders in children.
The project is funded for five years by the Wellcome Trust and aims to
further understanding of developmental language disorders, in terms of
both etiology and cognitive processes.

Post doctoral Research Assistant
Academic-Related Research Staff Grade 1A: Salary stlg15,159 - stlg22,785
Candidates should hold, or expect to hold by the time of appointment,
a doctoral qualification and relevant research background in
connectionist modelling. The post holder will be responsible for
developing simulations of the effects of auditory deficits on
language acquisition. The post holder will work both independently
and as part of an integrated team actively engaged with all stages of
the research process.
