Position in Computational Neural Science

This position is responsible for developing a nationally recognized
research program in computational neural science. The following
research areas of computational neuroscience are included: neural
modeling, neural nets and machine learning and functional/structural
MRI. The position will determine the priorities and direction for this
effort based on the overall goals and objectives of the biomedical
applications group and the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center
(PSC). This position will be responsible for writing research grants
for continued funding, writing annual reports, presenting research
results at national and international conferences, developing
application-specific or research workshops, and publishing the results
of this work in peer-reviewed publications.

QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in a computer science, mathematics or related
discipline or equivalent combination of training and experience; five
or more years of experience; proficient in C++ or C; proficient with
message passing libraries; and ability to communicate effectively
required. Experience performing computational neural science research
on high performance computers preferred.
