 Project: Dynamical recognizers and complexity classes of languages
Keywords: neural networks, dynamical systems, language induction

The Cognitive Science group at The University of Queensland is
seeking qualified applicants for projects in the area of
neural networks and formal language learning.

1. Postdoctoral fellow or senior research assistant 
  (1 year with possible extension for a second year)

2. Research assistant (6 months or half-time for 12 months)

Qualifications required: Excellent programming skills in Java (or C)
and Matlab, experience with neural network simulations.
Background in dynamical systems, formal language theory
and/or linguistics would be an advantage.  

The positions may be suitable for masters or PhD students. 

Location: The University of Queensland is located in Brisbane, Australia. 
Unfortunately, these grants are unable to provide travel funds,
so successful applicants would be responsible for their own travel
arrangements.
