SUBJECT: Engineering/Computing
TITLE: EPSRC PhD Research Studentship in Development of a Tool for
Intelligent Analysis of Stammering in Telephonic Speech
CITY: Plymouth, UK
DETAILS: Research Opportunity, Applications are invited for a PhD
Studentship due to begin in late October/early November 1997. The
studentship will be a collaborative project between Frenchay Hospital
(Bristol), BT Research Labs and the University of Plymouth. You
should have a first or upper second class degree in Engineering or
Computing (preferably an MSc). A knowledge of C/C++ and AI is
essential, however, a knowledge of speech characterisation and/or
pattern recognition/neural networks would be a distinct advantage.
