BEHAVIORAL NEUROSCIENCE 
 
     The Department of Psychology at McMaster University seeks
applications for a position as Assistant Professor commencing July 1,
1998, subject to final budgetary approval.  We seek a candidate who
holds a Ph.D. and who is conducting research in an area of behavioral
neuroscience that will complement one or more of our current strengths
in neural plasticity, perceptual development, cognition, computational
neuroscience, and animal behavior.  Appropriate research interests
include, for example, cognitive neuroscience/neuropsychology, the
physiology of memory, sensory physiology, the physiology of
motivation/emotion, neuroethology, and computational neuroscience.  The
candidate would be expected to teach in the area of neuropsychology, as
well as a laboratory course in neuroscience.  This is initially for a
3-year contractually-limited appointment.  In accordance with Canadian
