One or two Post Doc position is open immediately at Korea Advanced
Institute of Science and Technology.
The Computation and Neural Systems Laboratory is working on neural
systems, which includes neural architecture and learning algorithms,
hardware implementation, and applications such as speech recognition. We
had developed analog neuro-chips with on-chip learning capability, and
working on several applications of these chips. Currently we are
inviting researchers for the following two projects.
(1) Adaptive nonlinear equalizer
Channel equalizer is a kind of adaptive filter to extract signal
from corrupted signal. Convolutional channel, random noise, and
nonlinearity are considered to cause the signal correuption. It's
architecture is similar to a single-layer Perceptron, which may also be
generalized to multi-layer architectures. Therefore, the developed
analog neuro-chip is well suited to this application.
(2) Biosensor array
It is a part of Biochip Project, a Star Project of KAIST. At the
realy stage of the Biochip Project, we will develope an integreated chip
which consists of multi biosensors, liquid channel, and signal
processing neuro-chip for robust decison based on the multi-sensor
output. The successful applicant will work on the signal processing
neuro-chip with close cooperation with biologist and MEM researchers.
The appointment period is one year, which may be extended upto 3 years.
The monthly salary is about US$1400, which is enough to support two
member family near the campus at Taeduk Science Town, Taejon, about 150
km south of Seoul.
If interested, please send me a brief resume and list of publications.
