INNS Awards
Call For Nominations
The International Neural Network Society has established an Awards
Program to recognize INNS members who have made outstanding
contributions in the field of Neural Networks. Nominations for
candidates are to be sought for the following categories:
The Hebb, Hemholtz and Gabor Awards. Two awards, among the three,
of $500 will be presented each year to senior members of INNS for
outstanding contributions made in the field of Neural Networks.
Young Investigator Award. Each year two awards of $250.00 will
be presented for significant contributions in the field of Neural
Networks to members with no more than five years postdoctoral
experience and under the 40 years of age.
The Award Committee should receive nominations, from other than
the nominee, of no more than two A4 pages in length, outlining
reasons for the award to the nominee, along with a list of at least
five important and published papers of the nominee. The nominations
must be made by mail, fax or e-mail no later than February 28, 1997.
The member who submits the nomination should also provide the
Committee with the following information for both the nominee
and themselves: name, address, position/title, phone,
fax and e-mail address.
Awards will be presented at ICNN'97, June 9-12, 1997
at Westin Galleria Hotel, Houston, Texas.
