MSc in COMPUTATIONAL INTELLIGENCE
at the Computer Science Department
Royal Holloway, University of London
We offer a new twelve-month MSc in Computational Intelligence
covering a wide range of subjects:
Computational Learning
Statistical Learning Theory
Intelligent Decision Making
Neural Computing
Inference Systems
Probabilistic Reasoning
Constraint Networks
Simulated Annealing
Neurochips and VLSI
Equational Reasoning
Computer Vision
Concurrent Programming
Object-Oriented Programming
The first part of the course involves taking a selection of the
listed courses including some prescribed core courses. The second
part of the course comprises a project focussing on one of the areas
covered in the courses and usually involving some implementation.
Royal Holloway is one of the largest colleges of the University of
London and is located on a beautiful wooded campus half an hour from
central London by train and close to Heathrow airport.
The Computational Intelligence group at Royal Holloway includes
the following staff:
Alex Gammerman, with interests in Bayesian Belief Networks
John Shawe-Taylor, with interests in Computational Learning
Theory and Coordinator of the EPSRIT NeuroCOLT Project
Vladimir Vovk, expert in applications of game theory to learning
Vladimir Vapnik (part time), probably no introduction necessary,
and several other permanent members of staff.
