Motorola's Chicago Corporate Research Laboratories is currently
seeking a motivated individual to fill an internship position in 
the Speech Recognition Group in Schaumburg, Illinois. The internship
will last at least three months.

The Speech Recognition Group has developed innovative neural network 
and signal processing technology for continuous, small vocabulary 
robust recognition. The successful candidate will work on a component 
of an HMM/neural network hybrid speech recognizer. The duties of the 
position include applied research, software development, and conducting 
experiments with speech data sets. A high level of motivation is the 
standard for all members of the team.

The individual should possess a BS or MS degree in EE, CS or a related
discipline. Strong programming skills in C are required.  Knowledge of 
neural networks, decision trees, and statistical techniques is highly 
desirable.
