PhD STUDENTSHIPS IN COMPUTATIONAL MATHEMATICS / NEURAL NETWORKS 
    AT UNIVERSITY OF HUDDERSFIELD

     Two 3-year research studentships are now available to 
good graduates in numerate degrees, optionally with relevant MSc 
degree or experience, to work with Prof John Mason / Dr Iain Anderson
starting September/October 1995 :

1)  CASE Studentship (UK/EC only) on "Approximation by Neural Networks 
in Hydraulics" with Hydraulics Research Ltd Wallingford  - EPSRC grant 
plus 2250pds - involving NNs, approximation, parallel algorithms.

2)  Postgraduate bursary (about EPSRC basic rate plus UK/EC PhD fees) 
on "Approximation by Wavelets", with requirement to provide some 
programming support to MSc course - involving approximation, 
numerical analysis and applications (such as neural networks).
