Reannouncement: NN Event Announcements as WWW page & by FTP

	      WWW page and FTP Server  for Announcements
	      of Conferences, Workshops and Other Events
			 on Neural Networks
		-------------------------------------


This WWW page allows you to enter and look up announcements and
call-for-papers for conferences, workshops, talks, and other events
on neural networks.

The three event lists contain 65 forthcoming events and can be
accessed via the IDIAP neural network home page with the URL:

http://www.idiap.ch/html/idiap-networks.html

The lists are now also available as formated ASCII text.
The files /html/NN-events/{conferences,workshops,other}.txt.Z are 
obtainable from the HTML menus or from our FTP server ftp.idiap.ch.
Instructions for downloading these files are given below.

The entries are grouped into: 

	- Multi-day events for a larger number of people 
		(Conferences, Congresses, large Workshops, etc.),
	- Multi-day events for a small audience 
		(small Workshops, Summer Schools, etc,), and 
	- One day events (Seminars, Talks, Presentations, etc.).

The entries are ordered chronologically and presented in a
standardized format for fast and easy lookup.

The entry fields are:
	- the date and place of the event,
	- the title of the event,
	- a hyper link to more information about the event,
	- a contact address (surface mail address, email address, 
	                     telephone number, and fax number),
	- deadlines, and
	- a field for comments.
