                       SUMMER STUDENT POSITION
                      NYNEX Science & Technology

We have an immediate need for a summer student for upto a three
month period. The position is for research and programming in
Hidden Markov Models and the Viterbi Algorithm for incorporating
contextual information into a handprinted character recognition
system. Candidates must have knowledge of HMM, Viterbi algorithm,
and neural networks. They must possess excellent C programming
skills in the Unix environment. 

NYNEX is the Regional Bell Operating Company (RBOC) for New York
and New England. NYNEX Science & Technology is the R&D division
of NYNEX.
