     RESEARCH ASSISTANT
     Computational Neuroscience

A one-year research assistantship is available for research
on a novel application of computational methods to the
neurophysiology of the primate visual system with
Dr Peter Foldiak, in collaboration with Dr David Perrett.

The assistant will be involved in the development of software and
experimental procedures. Training in computer programming (C, UNIX),
and preferably in some of the following areas is preferred:
mathematics (optimisation), neural networks, genetic algorithms,
computer graphics (on SGI), vision- or neuroscience.

Salary will be at the appropriate point on the 1B scale for
Research Staff (GBP 13941-17813).
