I am not a physicist, but it is my understanding that there is
another way of looking at measurements. Instead of saying
"measurements ... can only be made by conscious observers",
you can talk about reversible and irreversible events.
The key thing about a measurement is not whether it is
made by an conscious observer, but whether it is an
irreversible event. Is this not a viable alternative
to dragging consciousness into quantum mechanics?
