Genetron references

Hi!

Does anybody out there know hwere I could get some information on the following:

1.  Seymour Papert's early 60's work on GENETRONs. I've already got a copy
of his chapter in La Filiation des Structures (1963) but haven't been able
to track down anything else (or in english for that matter).

2. A network design that would randomly (or pseudo-randomly) select one
among k (equally valid) simultaneously presented input stimuli. For example:
Given an array of nodes whoses values lie in the interval [0,1] select one
from among those whose value  is above a threshold of say 0.5.

Any help at tracking these down would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot
