I will not reply to Alexis Manaster-Ramer's (amr at ibm.com) posting about
grounding on connectionists because I do not think the discussion
belongs here. His original query about whether nets were equivalent to
Turing Machines was appropriate for this list, but now the discussion
has gone too far afield.

I will be replying to him on the symbol grounding list, which I
maintain. If anyone wants to follow the discussion, write me and
