i would like the following information from kind fellow netters that do
speech research:

reading some of the current TR's on the use of nn's for speech
recognition i could not figure just how many parameters are
involved in the training problem and how much time it takes to train
them. i would be interested in some statement of the form: 2000 paramete
17 days of sun time. maybe also how the training time scales with
the size of the optimization problem ...

i will be happy to collect answers and post to the list. please send
me personal mail. also , please answer only from your own personal
research experience.
