four-quadrant problem

I am very interested, as may be other connectionists who have not read the DARPA
report, in knowing what the four-quadrant problem is, exactly.  I am interested
in any task that is proposed as not being able to be solved by a 2-layer
network, since Huang and Lippmann seem to indicate that there may not be any
such tasks.
