Because of how the filesystem works, performance modification only applies to new or rewritten files. Copy your data in your scratch directories. For example: 1. Copy your old folder to a temporary new folder rsync -aHAX --progress /zfsauton//scratch/username/current_directory/ /zfsauton//scratch/username/new_directory/ 2.
