Message-ID: Dear Autonians, I only have very good news to report in this message :) First, we have a new Auton baby. Nathan Huang Schneider was born on Saturday. Congrats to Jeff and Jasmine! Welcome to the world and to the Lab Nathan! [BTW, we actually have another Auton baby born recently -- I will be making a separate announcement soon -- is it an incredibly productive Summer of what?] Next, one of our Auton babies has grown up and is just about to join the CMU computer science undergraduate program. Congrats to Thomas Li and his mom, our own Karen Chen! Thomas is hereby closing the loop by returning to CMU SCS, where he was born, following and solidyfying the path first blazed by William Moore for all other Auton babies to follow. But I think there is a good chance it might. Even though we have pushed hard against false negatives, there may still be a small risk that some shipments of these shrimp might have gotten through the CBP Radiation Portal Monitors before one of them was flagged. But the chances of any radioactive shrimp (or other sea, land or air radioactive monster) passing through unnoticed are drastically reduced wherever and whenever ERNIE is on guard. See this advisory from the FDA for your situational awareness (and maybe pause eating shrimp for a brief while): https://www.fda.gov/food/alerts-advisories-safety-information/fda-advises-public-not-eat-sell-or-serve-certain-imported-frozen-shrimp-indonesian-firm Cheers, AWD From pbartosi at andrew.cmu.edu Mon Aug 25 17:32:32 2025 From: pbartosi at andrew.cmu.edu (Piotr Bartosiewicz) Date: Mon, 25 Aug 2025 17:32:32 -0400 Subject: Computing nodes maintenance In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: Gpu15-19 are back up and running.
