Team,

I am sooo proud to have lived long enough to witness the Auton Kids
starting their unstoppable march to take over the world!

Please check this out: Tomi Li (our beloved Professor Karen Chen's son)
received a runners-up recognition in the recent edition of the Strogatz
Prize for Math Communication for his intriguing work on quaternions:

https://momath.org/the-steven-h-strogatz-prize-for-math-communication/strogatz-prize-2024-winners/

Tomi is still a high schooler. When he was in primary school, he was the
first test case for half of Karen's thesis in which she studied how to
assess the effectiveness of mentorship of such kids on their math problem
solving skills. If anyone would like to look for a doctoral dissertation
with tangible results downstream, look no further (not diminishing Tomi's
impressive pure talents).

This is all really very cool. Congratulations to Tomi! [and to his Mom!]

And, I must praise the Young Gentleman for his choice of attire to wear to
the awards ceremony. I hope this is a way of signaling his desired academic
destination :)

Cheers,
Artur

PS I have already shared the news of Karen's CAREER award. But recently,
her school has issued this nice press release to capitalize on the
achievement:

PSPS Karen, can you please forward our congrats to Tomi?
And, when is he coming here as an intern?
