Gpu scratch space

Team,

These inconsiderate events happen too often lately.

We have been watching this patiently for a long while, but the time is
coming when drastic measures may need to be implemented.

Please can everyone show respect to others and their hard work and obey our
rules of friendly conduct in our shared computing space.
