Team,
We had another productive and successful year at the Auton Lab.
A greater than usual number of projects of societal importance we
worked on have been publicly recognized. We had multiple successful
graduations, and many of us accomplished important milestones.
Our previous graduates and former team members have been doing great,
some even having babies (yes, we need more young talent!) while moving
their careers rapidly forward. Papers have been written and published
at a steady pace. Even though we did experience some unexpected
challenges [pointing a finger at myself now], we did not miss a beat
as a team, and we do not intend to miss any in the future either.
We are a robust, productive group, capable of making difference where
it matters. We should be proud of all that, and we should look with plenty
of optimism and energy towards the next years of the Auton Lab's
prosperity and impactfulness. I most certainly do.
Thank you very much for your contributions to all those good things.
They would not be achievable without the hard work of everyone on our Team.
Lastly but importantly, I really want to thank you very much for your
support on
the personal side. It has been truly very helpful in boosting my
perseverance.
I am now over the hump with my treatment, most of it behind me already, and
looking at only a few more months of therapy. After that, I expect to be
fully
back to normal (whatever that actually means :P :) ).
Merry Christmas and a Very Happy, Healthy, and Prosperous New Year!
Cheers,
Artur
