I have an idea who wedged the file system but that is irrelevant. Whatever data experiments you were doing on those two machines is not working properly and needs to go back to the design board. RHEL 7.5 + standard software 32 threads 512 GB of RAM 3TB scratch space That machine was used for a project which has moved out of the Auton Lab proper.
