Please see below. This is going to affect us in the major way! Please
start planning for the down time of at least two days starting October
4th. I will try to use necessary down time to do the work which normally
requires rebooting. That is why I am saying that we should allocate no
less than 2 days for this event.

SCS Computing Facilities and FMS are planning a partial power outage in 
the SCS Wean Hall machine room.  We expect this work to  begin on Oct 
4th, 2016 and to take less than 24 hours.  The outage may run into 48 
hours in the event that the electrical contractor encounters something 
unexpected.

power outage:
