Dear Autoninas,
Several of you express concern that we are running "obsolete software". I
just got a great news for those of who must have absolutely the latest
stuff regardless of stability. Our friend Josko from Princeton university
have put together new repo
http://springdale.princeton.edu/data/springdale/SCL/6/x86_64/
I am in the process of installing gcc-9.1 and other selected packages on
all our computing nodes and desktops. The software can be found in
/opt/rh/devtoolset-3
Please use it on your own risk. While Python 2.7.8, 3.4.1 and Perl 5.16
should work without any problems I would advise you to think twice before
using the latest GCC branch.
Most Kind Regards,
Predrag
