We recently had one of our user accounts broken into. As a precaution,
I am asking that all users please change your passwords immediately.
To change your password, ssh to LOP1.AUTON.CS.CMU.EDU. Once in the
system, you can change your password with the "yppasswd" command. Your
new password should meet all of the following criteria:
1) Be at least 8 characters in length, preferably more
2) Contain both capital and lowercase letters
3) Contain numerical digits
4) Contain non-alphanumeric symbols, such as a comma, exclamation mark,
etc.
Any users who do not change their passwords by Friday May 23, will have
their accounts disabled. You will then need to contact me to restore
your access.
