The SCS servers now use a commercial filter. I *think* you need to explicitly
have it turned on, and you might need to have your account moved to the
IMAP server (from the uxN server, if you've been here long enough to have
been assigned to one of those). But that's not a bad move in itself (it
also has a webmail interface, among other things). I don't know more about
the specifics, but dig around at:
http://www-2.cs.cmu.edu/~help/
As far as I know, the Andrew servers also offer the same features.
