Alternatively,
1a. Do your normal CVS/AFS work on your desktop machine, or any machine
which has access to the BigPapa volume over NFS (all of the "desktop
servers" - loco, logo etc. - do). Simply cd to the appropriate directory
(something like /mnt/BigPapa/home/USER/h/PROJECT ) and then do the cvs
operation. This is the same directory as h/PROJECT under your home
directory on the lab machines.

I'm not sure it's still current. I am sure I did not get any bug reports
