Some of you may have heard the sad news that our friend and colleague, Lynda Kelley, died last night.  She was hit by a car while crossing the road after getting her mail near her home in rural Georgia, outside Athens, GA. The funeral will be held at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home in Bogart, GA (1211 Jimmy Daniel Road, near Athens), date to be determined. I am sorry to have to share this sad news but I thought you would want to know, if you hadn’t yet heard.  We have lost a true champion of public heath, food defense, and veterinary medicine and a fun, loving, and dear friend. 
 
I will send details regarding the funeral when they are available.
