The goal of this conference is to build a community of social cyber
scholars by fostering interaction among members of the scientific,
corporate, government and military communities interested in
understanding, forecasting, and impactinghuman socio-cultural behavior

We have three types of TA duties: regular TAs, project TAs and lead TAs.
Regular TAs have the duty of running the daily teaching, taking
attendance, answering curriculum relevant questions with limited
supervision of the project hours. Project TAs would be matched with the
several groups in their research area/academic interests and provideaid
when these groups need clarifications during their project times. Lead
TAs main duty is to oversee their matched peer TAs and their pods,
direct them to relevant teams when any problem arises, ensure about
project matchings, take charge in unexpected TA absences.

We offer a position as research assistant/PhD candidate, 3 years, E13
TVL, in the project "Simplications" on Usable Privacy in the smart home.
The project "Simplications" consists of an interdisciplinary network and
will explore together with consumers the possible implications of the
use of supposedly simplesensors (e.g.light, temperature, motion) in
the home in a participatory way (Privacy by Co-Design). For this
purpose, our own sensor kits will be further developed and used in
workshops and field studies. With insights gained from this, technical,
media and digital literacy interventions will be developed and tested
that contribute to the informed design and use of sensor data
applications in the home.
We are looking for someone with
- A background in Computer Science, HCI, or other discipline where data
visualizations, data interactions, or data implications are relevant.
- Experience on the technology stack used (Linux, Node-Red, InfluxDB,
Grafana) or transferable knowledge.
- Ideally experience on Usable Privacy, especially sensor data in the home.

Research and help shape the future of AI and machine intelligence! AFOSR
is the basic research funding arm of the US Air Force and Space Force,
and we fund basic research that promises to advance future missions
across nearly 40 areas of science and engineering. The CCMI portfolio
funds high-risk, high-impact research on machine intelligence, including
reasoning, inference, planning, decision making, autonomy, and the
machine side of human-machine teaming, often informed by concepts and
principles about higher-order cognitive processes responsible for
complex problem solving and decision making. We’re looking for
experienced candidates with expertise in these areas who have a vision
for the field, care deeply about the science, and want to work with
researchers, other program officers, and interagency and international
partners to advance that vision. There may also be opportunities to
