URL: From db30 at andrew.cmu.edu Wed Jun 26 14:58:54 2019 From: db30 at andrew.cmu.edu (db30 at andrew.cmu.edu) Date: Wed, 26 Jun 2019 14:58:54 -0400 Subject: [ACT-R-users] ACT-R software update Message-ID: <6AAD5C094F5ECA8BD60D187B@actr6b.psy.cmu.edu> The ACT-R 7 software available from the software page on the ACT-R website has been updated. The current version is now 7.13.5-<2880:2019-06-26>. The changes with this update are mostly to improve the software performance. One new feature in that regard is the addition of a "Lisp only" mode which removes the external communication mechanism and allows the software to be loaded without having QuickLisp installed, like the older versions (7.5 and before). Using the tutorial models as tests, the Lisp only mode takes about half the time to run over that set of models compared to running them with the full version, and the Lisp only version also takes less time than it does to run the corresponding models in version 7.5 (about 85% of the time it takes to run in 7.5). If you have any questions or problems with the new version please let me know. Dan
