The Cognition and Cortical Dynamics Laboratory (CCDL, sites.uw.edu/ccdl) at
the University of Washington, Seattle, is looking for a 2-year postdoc to
join a new research project using large-scale neuroimaging data to study,
compare, and examine cognitive architectures, with particular focus on the
Common Model of Cognition. An example of this research approach and goals
can be found in this pre-print: doi.org/10.1101/703777

The ideal candidate would have a Ph.D. in computer science, neuroscience,
psychology, or cognitive science, and have experience with fMRI or M/EEG
data analysis and/or cognitive architecture. Salary and benefits will be
competitive and commensurate with the candidate's experience.

Although located in Seattle and under the supervision of Dr. Andrea Stocco,
the postdoc will join a multi-university project that includes Drs.
Christian Lebiere (Carnegie Mellon), John Laird (University of Michigan),
and Paul Rosenbloom (University of Southern California).

The CCDL is a multidisciplinary research lab, with access to EEG, fMRI, and
TMS facilities. The University of Washington is a large and highly
interdisciplinary institution and the largest receipient of federal grants
in the US. The city of Seattle is diverse and vibrant, and is home to
several research institutions as well major software and tech companies.
