Research position on modelling of expertise

POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSISTANT
EXPERT MEMORY
Applications are invited for the above post to work on an ESRC-funded
project on expert memory. The project will involve data collection and
computer modelling of chess players' memory. The person appointed will be
expected to carry out empirical studies and contribute to the refinement of
a computer model of chess expertise.
Candidates should have a PhD in computer science, cognitive science, or
psychology, and have good computing skills. Knowledge of Lisp or of a
similar computer language is required.
Salary will be within the range #15,735 - #20,867 per annum, depending on
qualifications and experience. This post is available from June 1999 and
will be offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of one year.
