Dear Colleague,

I am excited to announce that the Portuguese translation of Reviewing Clinical Trials: A Guide For The Ethics Committee is available for download (http://www.ClinicalTrialMagnifier.com/ethicsguide.aspx). Originally published and printed in March 2010, the ethics guide was written with the aim to help new ethics committee members familiarize themselves with the fundamentals of clinical trials, the importance of human participant protection, and compliance of good clinical practice (GCP). The content of the manual was reviewed with a group of international research ethics experts.

If writing is a time-honoured-craft, than translation is an equally sought-after skill. Translation allows for understanding between people of different mother tongues. In view of the ethics guide, it has been so far translated into Spanish and Portuguese to educate and promote ethical clinical research. In addition, a Chinese translation is currently under review, and it will soon be available for download.

Please feel free to recommend interested readers to download a free copy in pdf format electronically.

Ethical Clinical Trial Conduct

To further promote ethical clinical trial conduct and trial participant safety, a GCP & IRB course has been structured around the ethics guide in the upcoming 2010 Clinical Trial Magnifier Conference. The course fee includes a printed copy of the ethics guide and a full set of printed PowerPoint presentations.

The Clinical Trial Magnifier Conference will be held on November 24-26, 2010 in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia - The Land Below The Wind (www.CTMconference.com.)

Conference Theme

The main objective of the conference is to present and discuss various issues related to clinical investigator incentives for participation in industry-sponsored trials. Download the Conference Leaflet that provides details about the conference, pre-conference courses, and venue.
