We would like these merges to be tracked by Subversion 1.5's new merge tracking feature. This requires a upgrade of the subversion server on Trac.speech to Subversion 1.5. In an effort to eliminate the chance of old clients creating problems for future merges, we currently plan to disable commit privleges for clients that do not support merge tracking (which are Subversion clients that have a subversion base library version of less than 1.5 beta). We think this will be a minor inconvience to current users as TortiseSVN, Subclipse, and AnkhSVN have all been updated to use Subversion 1.5 libraries. If there are any objections let me know. I will inform you an hour or two before I take Trac.speech down on July 25 for 15 minutes to two hours to ugrade the subversion installation, Apache server as well, and additionally the PHP installation on Trac.speech. The idea is that we just need to write a module which takes audio and session events and forwards them through the Galaxy hub. Then we will just set up FreeSwitch to answer the phone and route all audio and events to this module. At least, I think that's how it works. Here are a few things to look at: http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Freeswitch_softphone http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Using_developer_interfaces From dhuggins at cs.cmu.edu Thu Jul 17 13:36:43 2008 From: dhuggins at cs.cmu.edu (David Huggins-Daines) Date: Thu, 17 Jul 2008 13:36:43 -0400 Subject: [Olympus developers 43]: More on Freeswitch Message-ID: <487F832B.1090309@cs.cmu.edu> Also, it seems that Freeswitch has an endpoint module for local soundcards, so we can also use it as an audio server for desktop configurations. This is expected to last between 15 to 30 minutes. After that time, we plan to merge our work for the upcomign Olympus 2.3 release. Be aware that after the merges, the trunk is likley to be broken. Otherwise, I think it looks a lot better. It is also still clear that is a wiki.
