international team of experts on AI, peptide drug design, mRNA display, and
immunology. Based at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE),
The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), you will lead the
development and application of advanced computational methodologies—integrating
artificial intelligence, molecular dynamics simulations, and molecular
docking—to accelerate cyclic peptide drug discovery. Supported by industry,
your work will focus on algorithm design for modeling and designing novel
therapeutics. This includes establishing predictive models for both natural and
non-natural amino acid cyclic peptides, optimizing targets for receptor complex
and membrane transport, and characterizing the essential parameters governing
membrane permeability for peptide delivery.</p><p>Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Bioinformatics,
Computational Biology, or a closely related field, along with demonstrated
experience in training or fine-tuning foundation models for structural biology,
a strong background in bioinformatics data curation, processing, and cleaning,
and a solid track record of relevant academic publications.</p><p>We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience and an initial
1-year contract with the possibility of renewal and long-term employment based
