The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) is looking for a few candidates for Research Assistants (RA)/Research Associates (RAS) in the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences (RS). RS has been playing a leading role in rehabilitation research in Hong Kong,
China and the APC region. According to EduRank's ranking, PolyU gets No. 1 for the first time in China and Asia in medical-related specialities, namely Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy. PolyU’s world rank in these two specialities is 59 and 84 respectively.
Assistive Technologies and Assistive Robotics are two core strategy directions of the department.

The RA/RAS will be responsible for working on an assistive robotic project for people with physical disabilities. They will work closely with the Principal Investigator (Dr Joni Zhong) and the co-PIs on developing BCI and/or sEMG-controlled robots and machine
learning-based robotic applications. Experiments with patients will be expected to solve real-world problems. Further pursuit of postgraduate studies (MPhil or PhD) is possible.

(c) have experience in multi-modal signal analysis, reinforcement learning or human-robot interaction studies.</div>
