Stimulation (TRiBS) has been held twice and has been well-received. <i>The </i><span style="line-height: 115%;"><i>TRiBS 2020:</i></span></span><span lang="EN-US"><i> </i></span></a><span lang="EN-US" style="line-height: 1.6;"><i>Challenges in Mental Health - Depression and
the Aging Brain</i></span><span lang="EN-US" style="line-height: 1.6;"><i> conference</i>, brings together scientists from around the world who are
working towards overcoming challenges in the field of invasive and non-invasive
brain stimulation, such as the identification of stimulation mechanisms, the development
of new stimulation technologies and the exploration of clinical applications.
The future of brain stimulation requires multidisciplinary collaboration aiming
for intelligent, precise, programmable neuromodulation technologies. Artificial
intelligence, wearables and big data analysis techniques will promote rapid
advances in the field. Clinical management is moving from current
hospital-oriented to family- or community-based remote rehabilitation
strategies, and clinical indications for brain stimulation are being extended from
movement disorders and degenerative neurological diseases to psychiatric and
autonomic nervous system diseases. Translating new insights on brain
stimulation mechanisms and new technological advances into clinical
applications will enable more precise and specific neuromodulation to improve
mental health.</span></div><font size="2" style="font-size: 14px;"><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="line-height: 1.6;"><br></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="line-height: 1.6;">The online journal club is part of the TRiBS program
and will be launched on June 29, 2020. Authors with important contributions to
the field of neuromodulation will be invited to present their research. The
objective of this online journal club is to promote national and international
collaboration across different domains of brain stimulation research such as
biomedical engineering and basic as well as clinical neuroscience.
Interdisciplinary interaction will greatly foster the exchange of knowledge and
ideas in this rapidly advancing field.</span></div></font></div>
